Fumée de Sel is made using Fleur de Sel that is cold smoked over 5-7 year old French Chardonnay oak wine barrels. The smoke created gives the salt its light brown hue. Use to finish an extraordinary dish; it gives not only a smokey flavour but also the subtle taste of oaked Chardonnay. Use on salads, vegetables & meat. Great with strong cheeses such as blue or sharp cheddar.
